Halloween

Today was our first Halloween in the house!  We had about 25 trick or treaters come by and many were in adorable costumes.  My favorite was a giraffe that was waddling because she clearly had a snow suit on underneath!  Less than half of the houses on our block were giving out candy.

Our mushy pumpkins.  Craigs is on the stool.

That is for the children!!!

We watched Nightmare Before Christmas while we waited for trick or treaters.
The pile of candy wrappers was definitely bigger at the end of the night.

Craig the Electrician

Today Craig had the day off so he decided to fix the wiring that goes to the garage.  Previously the garage didn't have power even though it was wired for it.  Craig determined that the wiring was fine but it just wasn't connected to the fuse box.  So he got a new fuse and hooked up the wire.  We now have lights and outlets in the garage!  This means our tenant will be able to plug in his car this winter.

Getting ready for Halloween

Craig and I were very excited to rake leaves and put them into the orange garbage bags that look like giant pumpkins.
However there was a wind storm yesterday and all of our leaves are gone!
Perhaps we can ask our neighbors if we can borrow some leaves from their leaf catchers (aka hedges).

Paintings

Craig has finally hung all of our paintings on the walls.  The dining room looks so much bigger without the paintings leaving against the walls.

This painting was in my great-grandma's farm house.

This is a print from my aunt ... it is a limited print and the queen has a copy.

This is the painting that fell off the wall several months ago.

Sad frosty garden!

It is a good thing Craig harvested the squash last night, because the garden looked so sad in the frost this morning!  I think this summer was a very good learning experience for Craig and he has already started planning his garden out for next year.
