This evening Craig is assembly a yard wagon (it is like a cross between a wheel barrow and a dump truck) in anticipation of the large load of dirt that is being dropped off tomorrow.

Take a look at #5 in the safety information... lol!

New bedroom furniture

I picked up a new dresser and two bed side tables at IKEA last week (coincidentally on the same day I received my income tax refund).  We decided to get blue because all of our other furniture is black-brown/espresso and we thought this was a nice change.  I suspect eventually I will paint the walls something that will match better than the current color (maybe a pale yellow or green or something).

 

The dresser is perfect for two people!  Craig and I were a pretty good team assembling the furniture.  No one yelled at anyone and it was done in a reasonable amount of time!

Rain Rain go away...

Apparently the bedroom window has a leak.  You can see the water damage on the frame there.  I just discovered the leak this morning and it rained all yesterday and today.  The rest of the windows look fine (thank goodness).  Hopefully Craig can fix this before it rains again.

I realized there was a leak this morning because I had conveniently placed the clothes I was going to wear today in front of the window and they were all soaking wet this morning.  I was not very amused.

Step 6: Line the garden bed with landscaping fabric.  

I gave up trying to make it smooth because it is going to be covered with dirt.

Step 5: Put the posts into the holes where the grass was removed.

Optional Step 5b:  Pretend the raised garden bed is a boat.

Mow-Mow-Mowing the Lawn

Today Craig broke out our new push mower and cut the grass for the first time!  Craig had a lot of fun doing it.  As such, I will let him always cut the grass so that I don't deprive him of any of the fun.  Yes.  ;)
