Big Hole

We now have a big hole in our back alley!  It is hard to get a good photo because it is always dark when I have time to take out my camera.  

My favorite part is how the workers stacked the snow ... I think they were having too much fun.

City Sewer Construction

The city is is doing some "Sewer Rehabilitation/Construction" in our backyard and alley.  Essentially there is a big sink hole there that Craig reported in the summer.  Initially they came and stabilized it and I guess they decided that in the middle of the winter would be an excellent time to fix it!  They started construction on Monday... but so far all they have done is filled our backyard with signs.  I think it looks like we are hoarding random construction signs!

This doesn't actually inconvenience us at all because we park in the front of the house.  It does inconvenience our tenant slightly because he can't park in his parking stall during this construction.  The notice also states that there may be "minor interruption to your sewer service"... hopefully that doesn't happen because it sounds unpleasant.
